Management Course for Student Leader 2008 (Mclead’08) dan Kursus Bina Negara Asas
Di Kem Lipis, Kuala Lipis Pahang
12-18 November 2008

Till 14 November was the session with IIUM. What I want to highlight here is the session with BTN. This was my second course with Biro Tatanegara but it was the BEST course of Bina Negara Asas ever. The module was customized to meet the students need or basically our need.

From the first day, we were divided into 6 groups. I was in group 1 with such tremendous friends which are Ali – The Boss, Akmal, Jazli, Lukman, Najwan, Pdot, Rozara, Yus, Amalina,
Husna, Karimah, Marni, Mieza, Nana, Sabariah, Siti, Syuhada, Yana + Ali and Muhammad.
The first day of BTN session started with 2 talks. The first talk was delivered by Ketua Pengarah Biro Tatanegara YBhg Dato’ Hj Shagul Hamid Bin Abdullah. It was such an honour to have him to give an inspiring talk about what the leader should have. He taught about to speak about only the truth, to differentiate false and truth information, to be brave enough to speak if what you believe is right. Although he was very busy with his job, he still wanted to come and gave long inspiring speech. Thank you Dato’. The second talk is also very good. The topic was about academic.
After that, there were lots and lots of fun things that we did in group, LDK (latihan dalam kumpulan). We had to kept “panji”(bendera), 3 water ballons (amanah to God, people and yourself), and a letter (perlembagaan). We refreshed the history of how great the Malacca was back then. Hebat kah Melaka? Or rather Hebat tak Melaka? Parameswara is not “pendatang” but he was from the same roots that is “rumpun melayu”.

We learn about so many things.
The greatest things happen were on 16th November. In the morning we ran 2 Km. After that, we had like explore race where we had to solve puzzle which every each puzzle brings its own meaning. Then at night 1.30am, we had “kembara malam” where we had to walk in the thick jungle of Terenggun in a group. We were the first group that had to walk in. It was raining that night. For three hours, we walked non-stop, up and down the hills, with trees that have torn left and right. For your information, the route that we walked was “berisi”. Alhamdulillah, nothing happen to my group, although some of us encountered undesired “thing” along the journey. We reached destination called Terenggun at 5.15am. Some other groups took 5 hours to reach the destination and reached Terenggun at about 8am. At 9am, we cooked our own breakfast. At about 10am, we build craft (rakit) and had a little race with other group. We went back to Kem Lipis in the afternoon and that night we had some BBQ. Hard day, tired plus did not get enough sleep. But it was the greatest moment ever we shared together as a group. Even though we only met in this course, it seems like we were meant to be friend.
